What is HD processing?
Large format metal sublimation isn’t easy. It isn’t as simple as just throwing your file to the printer and getting it onto a piece of metal. We are here to guide and help you create the best possible version of your vision. We take the production of your metal print very seriously. After all, if you don’t like the finished product, we will refund the order or offer to redo the print.
If you are in possession of a file that can’t be produced at a size you want, this is your solution. Our HD processing will make drastic differences to most files.
The process: This process splits the pixels in your photos and uses AI to interpolate the space between them exponentially increasing their resolution. This is what allows an 8-10mb image to skyrocket to upwards of 700mb of data. We are taking images that barely produce at 20×30 and easily printing them at twice that size at 40×60! This process works best with images that are upwards of 5mb.
Most other companies aren’t really incentivized to offer these types of services.
Simply put, large files are tough to work with.
- – a long time to open.
- – a long time to up-res.
- – much longer to save once they go from 5mb to 600mb.
- – longer to process in the proprietary-profile managed printing program.
However, large files produce the best possible image which produces the best possible metal print. We’re after all that sweet data that your camera captures.
If you are shooting on a DSLR and your camera saves as jpg instead of Raw, then click HERE if you want to read the advantages of using raw vs jpg format.
If you have a different camera you can just check on YouTube for your particular model. In some cases, the interfaces between various models are similar so we posted two for your convenience.
Do you want to know the best part?
Even if you don’t order it, we might suggest it to you if we think it will help. Better yet, if it doesn’t make a noticeable difference, we will refund the purchase amount. We always provide a before & after screenshot so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
Just chose it when ordering by clicking on the HD+ button while on the order page:
